The Grand Unveiling of THE Fazzino RIDE

The RIDE had the blessings of perfect New York spring weather for the grand unveiling of THE Fazzino RIDE.

The evening started at the Barrington Gallery of London on 5th Avenue between 45th and 46th Streets. It was a packed house with fans and collectors of Charles Fazzino's 3D pop art works joining in with friends, supporters, entertainers and contest winners from the RIDE.  The Barrington was multi tasking with the red carpeted entrance, hosting the cocktail reception, and displaying many amazing pieces by Fazzino.

On top of that, the art work was literally flying off the walls! By the time Fazzino arrived, he had a line of purchasers waiting for his own custom finishing touches. Armed with various markers, he held court and personally customized the backs of the pieces making everything even more personal and one of a kind. We have to admit, our favorite's are, not surprisingly, THE RIDE; now encased under glass but destined to live on long after its limited run on the streets of New York!

Guests chatted, admired the art, enjoyed tasty snacks and champagne while everyone was a buzz about THE RIDE!

Slightly after seven, the crowds began to gather outside the Barrington Gallery behind the velvet ropes. Now, there is no other place quite like NYC and any New Yorker will tell you that while celebrity sightings might be a dime a dozen, people love to know what is going on. So by the time the star of the show was making its way down 5th Avenue, not only were guests waiting, but various onlookers from the streets were joining in and waiting to see what the fuss was all about.

Of course, only in New York would there be a huge party for a bus, but we all know that this was NOT just any other "bus". Only THE RIDE, itself, could get away with driving down 5th avenue covered in a huge brightly colored orange drape and sporting matching orange balloons. Amide cries of "There it is!" THE Fazzino RIDE arrived only to keep its tantalizing Fazzino bedazzled glory behind the curtain for a few more minutes.

New York Makes Way for THE Fazzino RIDE

Introduced by the mastermind behind THE RIDE, Richard Humphrey, we heard from both Charles Fazzino and Charles Shaffati. Of Course, THE RIDE himself was also introduced and provided the countdown.

And then, the moment we had all been waiting for.  Reaching up, and not with one fell swoop (It was a very big drape) THE Fazzino RIDE was reveled!

Onlookers and guest were then treated to a fun rendition of THE New Fazzino RIDE theme song along with break dancing, back flips, and high class, and high heighted, hula hooping on stilts…and then…it was time for THE inaugural Fazzino RIDE!

A Fazzino Guided Tour of New York Streets and Attractions

With its own unique route, song, performers and, of course, the entire outer RIDE Wrap, THE Fazzino RIDE was a completely new experience for all. Along with a distinctive voice of THE RIDE, our RIDE hosts, Stuart and Jackie also introduced us to "Charles's Brain" or the voice of Charles Fazzino that is part of THE Fazzino RIDE Experience…even if Charles Fazzino himself is not sitting with you on the RIDE as he was  on Thursday night! Guests both old and new laughed and sang their way through the whole tour. Combining interesting, yet little known facts about NY (brush up on your trivia to win the prestigious "RIDE Points"), with music, lights, and the “come to life” 3D pop art of Charles Fazzino's. Of course, like the standard RIDE, the unexpected part of the experience is the interaction with the streets of New York.

Just like the beautiful weather, New York puts on a great show both in real life and as animated as Fazzino art.

Adding THE Fazzino RIDE to Your NY Map!

As we enter our third season, we are thrilled to introduce new motor coaches, a new cast, new themes, new management and a new Box Office located at Madame Tussauds on 42nd Street in Times Square. Right now, we are anxiously prepping and getting ready to host the official unveiling and opening night of the Fazzino RIDE on May 3^rd.

Introducing the THE Fazzino RIDE to the NY Tour

Designed by Internationally Renowned 3-D Pop Artist Charles Fazzino, we can’t wait to share a NYC seen through the award-winning artist’s whimsical, amusing and original eyes. THE Fazzino RIDE has been designed as a visually choreographed piece of kinetic art that will feature new interactive content and street performances. Charles Fazzino has created a special design wrap for the motor coach making THE Fazzino RIDE a 75-minute moving work of interactive art.

Even before we add in Fazzino‘s art, The RIDE’s motor coaches are events in their own right. They are specifically designed theatrical vehicles; the tallest allowed by federal law, fitted with stadium-style equipped with surround sound, LED lighting and 40 video screens. THE RIDE’S original genius was its realization that the streets of Manhattan are a fifty-mile stage exhibiting the most riveting visuals on earth and that seems to have caught on! Did you know that THE RIDE has become the singularly most requested theater ticket at Travel Agents’ offices all over the country?

About the Unveiling of This New York Show

The newest RIDE will be officially unveiled on Thursday, May 3rd at The Barrington Gallery of London Ltd. (572 Fifth Avenue – between 46th and 47th Streets).

• The Cocktail Reception will begin at 5:00pm.
• The cast of THE Fazzino RIDE will arrive at 6:00pm.
• The official unveiling will take place at 7:00pm.

Then, as the lights of New York begin to promise the evening’s events, THE Fazzino RIDE will take off to tour New York City for the first time!

Art students have an opportunity to not only showcase their original artwork, but also have a chance to meet Charles Fazzino. The top ten art competition entries with the most votes will be invited to the Fazzino RIDE opening Night Gala scheduled for May 3^rd, 2012. The Art contest winners will win an exclusive spot on THE FAZZINO RIDE with Charles Fazzino himself!

New York area art students and youths over the age of 13 are encouraged to upload their Fazzino inspired artwork on THE RIDE‘s Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/ExperienceTheRide/app_95936962634, and tell everyone they know to vote for them! Ten (10) finalists will be selected based on how many people “like” their New York City and Fazzino Inspired art.

The deadline to upload a picture to the THE RIDE’S Facebook page is April 30^th. Contestants should encourage others to vote for their art contest submission. People vote via “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” buttons and can vote once a day until the contest ends.

THE RIDE is looking for circus talent, unicycle riders, jugglers, carnival talent, clowns, sideshow oddities, street performers, unique and well done musical instruments performers, contortionists, acrobats, hula hoopers, diablos tricksters, rolla bollas, fire breathers & eaters, break dancers, stilts performers, trampoline acts, saxophone players, street magicians, straight jacket escape artists, snake charmers, or something so unique it has to be seen to be believed.

If you are selected for a role on THE RIDE, you will be offered competitive pay for the FAZZINO RIDE engagement with up to ten competitively paid performance spots per week through Labor Day. With all this exposure, you could be the next hit in Times Square!
